Our school has the distinction of being located in a welcoming old mansion in the center of Brussels, close to the European district and NATO, while offering an international environment with nearly 150 students of more than 35 different nationalities.
The mission of the pedagogical and leadership team is to guarantee high-quality education, to develop the integrity, curiosity, and rigour of our students so that they can undertake university studies with brilliance.
Being an engineer graduated from ‘Ecole Polytechnique de Bruxelles’, I value rigour and teaching and learning by action, whether it is for the academic subjects or for the personal development activities such as the annual theatre show.
Several elements are key in the education of our youngsters: study skills, work ethic, autonomy, decision-making and communication skills, all of which will make the students into the leaders of tomorrow.
Nearly 40% of our students have chosen a bilingual French/English programme, which has the advantage of having a mixed population where English is not the only language of communication between the teenagers.
Most of our students stay at our school for several years, which strongly limits turnover.
“Living Brussels” is also one of our objectives; we take advantage of the very modern sports facilities of the VUB (University of Brussels) just a few steps away and organise numerous outings in the city for exhibitions, theatre shows, student fairs, museums, etc.
Students who wish to join our international community while enjoying the city of Brussels are welcome.
Welcome to EIM!
I feel honoured to be the Head of School at EIM.
I am thrilled to invest myself every day in this growing and dynamic school, right at the heart of Brussels. Indeed, our student enrolment has grown exponentially over the past few years. This is attributable to EIM being an ideal learning environment; we are a small and caring community with excellent and dedicated teachers, who focus on each student and their individual needs.
Having worked for 13 years in international school settings, I have developed a true passion for the International Baccalaureate (IB) and its philosophy. We are proud to offer the PYP (Primary years Programme), the MYP (Middle Years Programme) and DP (Diploma Programme) as we see our students grow across these excellent academic programmes that are also concerned with developing students as responsible and open-minded individuals.
Born in Sweden, with Moroccan/Israeli roots and raised in Belgium, I have an international
background. Respect, multicultural experiences and exchanges are very important to me. With 31 student nationalities and 14 teacher nationalities represented at our school, EIM is the perfect platform to promote international-mindedness through various dimensions in our community.
In my role and, in partnership with the Deputy Head of School, I oversee the teacher coordination and communication between all stakeholders. I ensure the optimal implementation of the school programmes through effective teaching and learning, aligned with the IB Standards and Practices.
At EIM, academic achievement is a priority. However, student well-being is equally important! We will ensure that the pastoral dimension of our students’ experience is fully considered.
I look forward to welcoming your children and to see them flourish in our school.
