EIM is growing quickly, and it is highly likely that we will require more teachers next school year for the various subjects that we offer and for all our sections (PYP, MYP and DP). We are therefore very interested in hearing from teachers who would like to join our international team. Our staff come from all over the world, with international experience, and you would join a small, dynamic and collaborative team with a hands-on approach to learning.

Our ideal teacher will be:

  • Passionate about students, teaching and learning.
  • Open-minded, collaborative, and able to bring ideas and solutions to the table.
  • Interested/experienced in the IB Programmes.
  • Flexible and Adaptable to the needs of students and the school as we grow and develop each year.
  • Fluent in English. Working knowledge of French and/or any other language is an asset.

  • University degrees in their subject and in education/pedagogy.
  • Cultural openness to fresh perspectives.
  • International experience.

EIM is looking for a qualified part-time Learning Support Teacher to join our SecondaryTeam. EIM is a small and growing international school at the heart of Brussels. We are a candidate MYP and authorized DP school. Our staff come from all over the world, with international experience, and you would join a small, dynamic and collaborative team with a hands-on approach to learning.

As Learning support teacher, your main role would be to provide additional support/teaching to students who face academic challenges (special educational needs, time management, study skills, etc.).

You would help students individually and/or in small groups to overcome issues that arise due to learning difficulties

Other key tasks:
- identification and monitoring of students with learning difficulties.

  • liaise with external educational psychologists as needed.
  • support class teachers in the implementation of differentiated learning activities.
  • writing of individual education plans for students with specific learning disorders or with other learning, behavioural or physical conditions.
  • provide professional development to the teachers.
  • Liaise with IB for registration of students with assessment access arrangements

Person specifications:

  • Special Education qualifications or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in Learning Support Programs preferred.
  • Experience with IB programmes is an asset.
  • Fluent in English/French. Any additional language will be a strength.
