EIM is delighted to announce that from our first cohort of students to take the International Baccalaureate exams, 4 out of 5 students successfully passed.
Our wholehearted congratulations go to our students, who studied so hard!

The IB Diploma Programme aims to produce people who are sensitive to international issues, conscious of the connections which unite all humans, concerned about the responsibility of each and every one of us towards the planet, with a desire to contribute to building a better and more peaceful world.

The IB International Baccalaureate programme offers students the best preparation for university studies. It is recognised by universities and schools in Belgium, Europe and the rest of the world.

During the last two years, the Diploma Program - DP - requires students to be demanding, independent, honest, communicative and to work regularly. This develops their knowledge on important local and world-wide questions and treats the subjects in a carefully planned manner. The IB learner profile is a student who is communicative, open-minded and altruistic.

The students enrolled in the DP programme have the choice of 6 courses ;
Each course is available at 2 levels:

  • Standard Level (SL): 150 teaching hours over two years
  • Higher Level (HL): 240 teaching hours over two years

In DP2 (year of the Bac) the official examinations take place in May. During their two-year course, each student must carry out an internally assessed research project in each of their subjects.

The common core is composed of the CAS activities (Creativity, Activity, Service), the Theory of Knowledge (ToK) and an extended essay in a subject chosen by the student. This extended essay provides students with the opportunity to develop their research skills and to learn to adhere to the principles of academic honesty.

Students starting out on their IB diploma course must also commit to a personal investment to develop the different aspects of the learner profile.
