European Jewish Community Centre
On the 18th February, our DP1 students and teachers had the enriching opportunity to visit the European Jewish Community Centre, which generously agreed to engage in active conversation with regards to jewish culture, interaction and existence.
A variety of topics were discussed around the concepts of identity, diversity and inclusion, all the while our students and faculty grew to better understand Judaism and its place in the world today.
Besides the evident benefit of stimulating and somewhat controversial conversation, these progressive thematics have also come in useful, as was observed in our DP1 English class (unit of war and political cartoons) and in History class (persecution during the tsarist revolution).
