Relaxation techniques

In the extracurricular Yoga classes, students cultivate holistic well-being: the sustained practice of Asana (poses), Pranayama (breathing) and relaxation techniques have positive effects on pupils at a physical, emotional and mental level.
The course strives to celebrate both the uniqueness of each student in the group and the collective learning experience. All participants are encouraged to treat themselves and others with acceptance, kindness, and Non-violence. These statements provide a strong sense of belonging and promote social skills.
The lessons interweave the traditional practice of Yoga with storytelling, songs and games allowing children to learn in a multi-sensory environment which explores kinesthetic, visual, oral, inter- and intra-personal learning. Also, groups build upon their gross motor skills, while taking on challenges in strength, agility, and endurance, as well as cooperation.
