EXTENDED DAY

Whether your child needs to stay longer than regular school hours, or support with homework, we offer educational after-school alternatives for all age-groups .

Homework Club (PYP 1-5)
From 4:00 to 5:00 pm

We have a balanced strategy regarding homework. Students in the PYP section will learn how to organise themselves and take an increasing degree of responsibility over their own learning outside of their classroom. The aim is to consolidate what has been learned during their school day through practice. This is a popular service that a significant number of EIM families are demanding every year. Parents can pick up their child at any time during  the homework hour.

Cost: 9€/hour

Garderie Service
From 5:00 to 6:00 pm

You can leave your child until 6 pm. A garderie service is offered from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm where primary students can release some energy in the playground under the supervision of an adult. In case of rain, or cold weather students can stay inside where the school staff will propose various activities.

Cost: 9€/hour

Supervised Study for secondary students
From 3:45 to 4:45 pm

Students can attend supervised study from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm. A rota of teachers is set up to ensure they can receive the support needed in various subjects. This is the perfect opportunity for them to ask for help on something they didn't understand during class or to work on their daily assignment. Teachers may also request that students attend supervised study in case of missing work or when specific support is needed.

Extra Curricular Activities

Every year EIM tries to adapt the choice of extra curricular activities to the needs and schedule of our families. Below is a list of potential activities. In order for an activity to be implemented we need a minimum of 5 participants.

Piano and Violin lessons -  individual lessons take place every week. A recital is organised for the parents before Christmas Holidays and at the end of the school year.

Individual or group tennis lessons - in collaboration with a local tennis club nearby "Set Wahis", we offer individual and group lessons. Tennis coaches with professional tennis experience work with the students according to their level and aims.

Dance -The class is built on base technique and body alignment: a mix of warm up exercises from ballet, contemporary dance and jazz to get a touch of most common techniques; Improvisation; Creating choreography based on improvisation dance research, rehearsed movement and the studies of various dance techniques and choreographers. The task of the class will be for students to discover a range of body abilities physiologically working on fluidity of movement, choreography and improvisation. She aims to make the learner free and creative in his own body by gently teaching him autonomy and self awareness.

Coding School (in collaboration with Logiscool) - Logiscool is an international programming school for kids and teens that is currently active in 16 countries worldwide. During the past 6 years, more than 55.000 students learned programming with them. The goal is to transform the students into active creators of technology by teaching them the bases of coding. Experience-based teaching is emphasized and students are encouraged to showcase their creativity. From the very first session, they will develop a functional game and they will continue programming a new project every time.

Team sport - Every year our school coach organizes an after-school activity related to team sports, such as basketball, soccer, handball, volleyball etc.

Italian Lessons - After School Italian lessons take place weekly by teachers of the Italian Embassy. These allow our Italian students to enhance their language skills.
